Night of Science: Music Inside Out

On the eve of the Weekend of Science, on Friday 6 October, NWO organises the Night of Science, together with the The Dutch National Research Agenda and ZonMw.

What effect does music have on your brain? Can you film sound? What role does music play in the healthcare sector? These questions and many others will be discussed by the twelve speakers at the Night of Science, interchanged with film, music and dance. Erik Scherder lets you experience how music influences your movements, Hannes Datta explains the consequences of music streaming for consumers, sellers and artists, and Iris Sommer reviews the working of senses.

The Night of Science can be experienced in two locations: in the public library of Utrecht and in The Hague. Eva Cleven, presenter at the VPRO, will host the presentation in Utrecht, Eveline van Rijswijk, former editor-in-chief of the Universiteit van Nederland is the host in The Hague.

Tickets for the Night of Science cost € 7.50 each (incl. consumption). More information about the programme, speakers and tickets can be found on this website. Please note that this event, as well as its website, is in Dutch.
